Below is a list of speakers for the 2018 Kansas City Golf Show, which will be updated regularly leading up to the show.

John Richman

John is the co-owner and lead instructor at the Martin City Golf Center, a cutting-edge indoor/outdoor golf training facility located in Kansas City. A two-time Midwest PGA Section Teacher of the Year (2004, 2007), John has been teaching full-time for more than 20 years. He was also named the Midwest Section’s Golf Professional of the Year in 2011, and was a past president of the section and 16-year board member. Earlier this year, John was a featured instructor on “Golf Channel Academy Live” from the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. An accomplished player, John still competes regularly in the Midwest Section and won the prestigious Midwest PGA Championship in 2007 — an event previousy won by two-time PGA Tour winner Tom Pernice, Jr., former New York Yankees pitcher Ralph Terry, and PGA of America Hall of Famer Stan Thirsk (Tom Watson’s former coach and mentor). One of Golf Range Magazine’s Top 50 Golf Instructors in America, John’s strength lies in his ability to communicate and relate the golf swing in a way that his students can understand. John is very forward-thinking and uses the most advanced technology available on the market today to help golfers realize their full golfing potential.

Bert Benjamin

A former attorney who molded himself into one of Kansas City’s finest amateur players, Bert is now the head club fitter at Kansas City’s Martin City Golf Center, where he helps area residents find the perfect clubs to match their swings. A Golf Digest Top-100 Club Fitter and a top-100 fitter as rated by TaylorMade, PING, Mizuno, Callaway and Titleist, Bert is the most lauded and respected club fitter in the Kansas City area. Stop by the Kansas City Golf Show main stage to learn more about the importance and process of club fitting, and how a proper club fitting could shave strokes from your game this year.

Brenndan Cooper

Brenndan is the director of coaching at Staley Farms G.C. He has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the Best Young Teachers in America, as well as one of the Top Teachers in Missouri. A recipient of the Midwest Section PGA Teacher of the Year, Youth Development and Horton Smith awards, Brenndan has had the opportunity to coach professional tour players, club champions and junior and high school champions on the local, state and national level. He is one of the top junior golf coaches in the area, having received the Midwest Section PGA Youth Development Award. Brenndan’s success with his young players is evident by the fact that he has had the great pleasure of helping numerous high school players receive college golf scholarships. His players have also won AJGA events along with local player of the year honors.

Josh Nahm

Josh Nahm is the Director of Instruction at Firekeeper Golf Course. Josh was recently named one of the Top 25 Elite Junior Coaches in America by Future Champions. Josh has worked with over 1,000 juniors in his career, over 500 of whom have received college scholarships. His students’ accomplishments include 25 AJGA All-Americans, 60 AJGA wins and two juniors who were ranked No. 1 in the world. Since coming to Kansas, Josh has worked with a state junior champion, two state individual champions and players on both boys and girls state championship teams. In addition, Josh also works with five PGA Tour players, three LPGA Tour players and numerous mini-tour players around the world. Before coming to Firekeeper, Josh was the lead instructor at the Hank Haney Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head, S.C., for 6 years.

David Brinker

David is the President of Mid America Golfing Events, the 2012 RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion and an 11-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Finalist. His long drive journey began in 2004 at the Long Drivers of America tour Qualifying School in Dallas, Tex. He captured the interest of seasoned long drivers by earning his LDA tour card on his first attempt. David has a flair for bringing excitement and entertainment to both corporate and charitable events. Through his efforts, he has helped raise in excess of $1,500,000 for charitable events in the last eight years.

Jason Huska

Jason Huska joined Topgolf Overland Park in September 2015 and became Lead Instructor in August 2016. With collegiate experience in competitive golf at UMKC, coaching and instruction, he has a great understanding of what it takes to develop golfers of all skill levels. Jason has always had a love for golf and is excited to be able to extend this passion to his students. Jason’s goal is to create a fun and engaging atmosphere while developing each student’s individual golfing ability. 

Jared Paul

Jared Paul began his career with Topgolf in September 2015, as a Lead Instructor at Topgolf Spring. He is originally from Mulvane, Kans., where he started playing golf at the age of eight, and continued on to play at Southwestern College. After graduation, he played professionally for four years on The Adams Tour. He has a great love for the game of golf and hopes that his passion for teaching will instill the love for the game in his students, as well. When he is not giving lessons or out on the golf course, you will find him watching the Chiefs, Royals or Kansas Jayhawks! Rock Chalk Jayhawk, GO KU! 


Jonathan Behee

Jonathan Behee has grown up around the game of golf. He picked up the sport at age 5 and has been playing ever since, including participation in Kansas City’s First Tee program. After graduating from The First Tee in 2004, Jonathan volunteered as a First Tee coach. After high school, Jonathan went to Rockhurst University, and earned a bachelor’s in business management from the Helzberg School of Management. After graduating from Rockhurst in 2012, Jonathan attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he earned his MBA with an emphasis on Leading and Managing People. Jonathan now works for The First Tee as the Program Manager for the Heart of America/Tom Watson Golf Academy site, and is the National Schools Program Coordinator.

Dr. Kirk Iodice

Dr. Kirk Iodice has successfully treated athletes from many sports to both improve performance and resolve painful conditions. He utilizes a mixture of cutting-edge therapies designed to release tight muscles, break up scar tissue “knots,” and improve joint range of motion. Examples of these therapies include A.R.T. and Dry Needling. He has served as the Official Chiropractor for the Kansas City T-Bones baseball team since 2009 and has worked with many other sports organizations. Dr. Iodice founded his Olathe-based practice in 2008. This clinic was founded on the simple premise of providing cutting-edge, effective treatments while giving patients the outstanding service they deserve. Dr Iodice has experienced great success treating many difficult conditions. These excellent results and his patients’ very high level of satisfaction is founded in his unique training, education, and experience.
